So I was just wondering what does good look like when siting and designing developments near fire prone land?
11:25
Well, hallelujah that it's in there.
11:27
And obviously I have to mention that there's alternative planning in Wales and Scotland as well.
11:32
But I think some of the key things that we need to think about when we are planning to reduce the risk of wildfires.
11:39
Firstly, a proportionate risk assessment, identifying what the risks are to that particular development.
11:48
topography, wind direction, surrounding vegetation cover, vulnerable receptors, making sure that we understand the setting that we're in.
11:57
Once we've got a bit of an understanding of that setting, we can then work on how we're designing that development to better be resilient to wildfires and things.

You've spoken a bit about ecologists, the people on the ground, and I'm wondering if you could tell us a bit more about what that looks like for For like yourself, for people in your team, for other ecologists, some of our members on the ground, what that looks like and any particular challenges? I mean, you mentioned there about access, which seems like a crazy one, but any particular challenges that you see them facing?
