So where do you think we are in this struggle to actually solve the Iran problem and reach a time when this brutal regime is no longer terrorizing the earth?

Iran is a very different culture from the United States, from America, from the West.

We look for things like compromise.

In Persian, and for that matter, and in Turkish, and in Arabic, there is no concept of compromise the way we have in English.

For example, let's say, Doug, you and I sit at the table.

Let's say, God forbid, we hate each other up to now, but we know we got to get along and we got to work on a project together.

And you and I sit across from the table.

Why don't we start off, and you can just share with us a little bit about your beliefs on the Iranian national identity, and what does that tell us about day after scenarios?

It's really simple.

Iran is not an ethnic, monolithic anything.

If you go back to the time already of the Book of Esther in the Bible, it says that, uh, the empire was, uh, uh, made up of 127, we could call them nations, let's say ethnic religious groups, whatever, and their traditions, dat tehem shonut, and their, um, religions, their principles, how they live their lives is different.

Iran has always been a tapestry of all sorts of groups together.

Now, uh, their loyalty, their loyalty, if anything, is Iran zamin, which is to the land of Iran.

I don't care what your ethnicity is.

How likely do you think in a, a regime change is in Iran based on all of the internal strife that we're seeing right now?
