Managing Billion Dollar Pharma Projects as a Young Engineer
25:53
29:42

Thomas McMannHOST
And is that, with it being early on, is that the contractor, like the EPC company, is it on them to bring it in earlier on or is it on the client side to really push for it early on?
26:08
It's just like when you have your ERs and ORs on the process side.
26:12
At the same time, when equipment comes in, process equipment comes in, or you have to design it, you need to have CIP, ORs, ERs, as we call it, at the same time when you do your USs and your critical aspects.
26:29
But usually they come in a little bit later, and there are not as many people in design phase, sometimes it's the the process people also setting the requirements and so on and we have to remember cip is where the most requirements are the critical requirements are where there's not that many on the process side so it also creates a bigger testing plan that you need to do in order to to execute it so it's sometimes down prioritized, but it's very, very important.
27:09
And also if you're looking into the future of sustainability, things like that, it's not only white time you give to the production, but you also save both the OPEX and you save the environment for consumption of water and solvents.

So I guess as someone who's considered a young engineer, I guess, within our industry, what advice would you give to young people looking to get into the industry and start their career?
