How did they influence your basketball journey?

They just helped a lot.

Like I said, Dirk just made basketball in Germany so big and me having a connection with my family through him was just amazing to see like how grounded he is as a person, even though he's such a big basketball star.

And then Detlef just made it so easy for me to find my way in Seattle and Washington just helped me a lot with like reaching out and just making sure I'm all good and just like, yeah, kind of inspired me as well to succeed at Washington.

What is it about you beyond big hands and a big frame that allows you to be a great rebounder?

Yeah, just as you said, the motor, just like fighting for a rebound, just like not taking any positions off and just like always trying to fight for position as early as possible as soon as that extends, that shot will go up.

I'm just trying to kind of box out or offensive box out in a way and just kind of get up and get the rebound.

So just always... never take possession of and just always go to glass
