What are some of the s- the injuries that you've kinda battled through, and has there been any particular recovery modality or change in volume or intensity that you've had to adjust or do so that you can stay healthy?
14:59
Yeah.
14:59
So predominantly all of my injuries have been bone related, um, stress fractures or stress reactions, and unfortunately I've had quite a lot of those.
15:09
Um, to start with, they were related to underfueling and overtraining alongside that, but predominantly underfueling.
15:16
And then I kind of learnt from those mistakes and rectified those.
15:20
But the, there's, like, a few sides to it, so I think the damage you do there can stick with you for quite a long time, and I think that did kind of stick with me.
15:29
And then later on it's kind of been more about not really adjusting training, but more learning what is right for my body.

So, um, have you, have you thought about running any half-marathons in the States? Or, I'm not familiar with international half-marathons, but is there a particular race that you're like, "Oh, I really wanna run that"?
11:44
Yeah, but, but going forward from that, things became tough for you, didn't it, as, as you got a bit older? Can you tell us a bit about that, you know, the difficult times in your running journey as you got a little bit older?
11:55
Yeah.
11:55
As I got older, like I, I'd always had such a love for running, and when I got into my sixth form years, obviously you get, like, start dealing with the stress of A levels.
12:05
A lot of my friends who I'd kind of grew up with in my younger years had all left, so I didn't have them anymore.
12:10
Sadly, one of my best friends, she actually passed away from cancer.
12:14
Um, and then my mum at the same time, she also got breast cancer.
12:18
And I think at that point, running kind of became a coping mechanism for me rather than being a hobby that I love to go and do.

Can you talk a bit about your sort of road to recovery from RED-S, um, you know, any advice for runners out there that might be suffering from the same problems that you went through?
