What have you studied and what are your experiences with the idea of presiding?

And I can absolutely see where someone would have difficulty with this, right? Where we know instinctively, we know that husbands and wives are equal partners.

We know that instinctively.

And then we read the proclamation and we think, well, that doesn't seem to sit right.

And I think that's okay.

When you think of equal partnership, do you see it in a different way than that?

What did God say

specifically about Emma? Well, first he calls her by name.

And Joseph Smith found that out in the first vision, right? One of them spake unto me, calling me by name.

So the Lord knows your name.

Yes.

I frequently tell you, if the Lord were here right now, he would call you by name and he would not only know your name, he would know everything about you.

But what does it do in relation to the actual Abrahamic covenant?

W- What we seem to have, uh, I don't wanna say seem, but I, I wanna just say in my, in my, in my opinion or my reading of scripture, what we have in the Lord, in Jesus of the Old Testament, and that's something that a lot of members of the church even don't realize, that the God of the Old Testament, Jehovah, is Jesus.

So we are learning about him on every page.

Yes

Yeah.

Then he said all of us get to the point where, at, at some point, depends on, you know, it changes for everyone age-wise, but we get to higher purpose.

Higher purpose is I'm engaged in a cause that's going to outlive me.

I'm giving my gifts, my engagement, to something bigger than me.

And a very healthy, happy adult is someone who has all three.

They have pleasure, they have engagement, and they have higher purpose.

Right.

It's gotta be habit, and after a while it, it has a, an impact that you might not even notice until y- you have a, a distance between you and where you, where you started.

How much does the active management side of things for you push you not necessarily away from them, but tell you just because you make a list doesn't mean you make our portfolio?

Yes, and we do have two distinct strategies.

One, our quality growth strategy, which really emphasizes growing dividends at the expense of current yield based on earnings growth, and then a yield strategy that favors higher yielding companies.

but just because you pay a dividend doesn't mean you're automatically coming into the portfolio you have to have some good fundamental growth characteristics and valuation matters for sure but what we're not doing is we're not investing in turnarounds or workouts and we're certainly not speculating I don't want to throw cold water on speculation.

There's room for that for anyone.

You just don't want to have the foundation of your investable assets all in speculative stocks.

And that can be very challenging in a market environment where you read about every day some of these more speculative stocks, and we're not participating in those.

But what makes you say, hey, I'm out?

And they come to this fig tree and it seems that Jesus is, is, is ready to teach a lesson.

And then there were some who were going that was much more painful and difficult than it needed to be so that people who were already pretty well off could get even better off.
