John MillerHOST
What do you think is the one thing that he's maybe needed to take a step forward with, but hasn't and maybe has regressed a little bit? Is there one part of his game?

Hank KuehlerGUEST
Yeah, I think honestly it's really just the accuracy, and I think a lot of that stems from confidence.

Hank KuehlerGUEST
If you watch A&M this fall, Holman Wiggins, I think, has done a pretty good job for a first-time coordinator of getting guys open, scheming guys open, and there are just a lot of instances where Reed is missing them flat out, point blank, throwing it into the dirt, throwing it over their head.

Hank KuehlerGUEST
And so he's just missing his layups, his free throws for some reason right now.

Is that him holding the ball too long? Is it the line? Is it a little bit of both?

Hank KuehlerGUEST
As I said earlier, Reed at times will get happy feet and I think, look, I think teams have done a good job.

Hank KuehlerGUEST
Elko's been mentioning this in the press conference where teams have, have done a good job of taking away his, his legs, and they've been disciplined.

Hank KuehlerGUEST
There was a couple plays actually in the LSU game, and I'm sure as you recall, Marcell Reed two years in a row had torched LSU on the ground.

Hank KuehlerGUEST
Well, this year there was even a couple plays where, like Prince Umunmiyen, who's a tremendous sack artist off the edge, was not even rushing.

Hank KuehlerGUEST
He was just sort of dummy rushing and waiting for Reed to try to break contain, and then they were gonna, uh, you know, obviously keep him in the pocket.

John MillerHOST
Was that an anomaly? I, I'm, I'm just genuinely curious, or was that just a matter of, hey, tackling tends to get better as the season goes along? So I'm just not really sure what to make of that.

Lance DaweHOST
How do you feel about him at this point in his career? And what are we going to see from him against Kentucky? Or what do you expect, at least?

Hank KuehlerGUEST
Definitely within the fan base, there's mixed opinions about him really because of those big games like you mentioned.

Hank KuehlerGUEST
I think it's one of those things where It gets stuck in your memory when you lose to Texas and then lose to Miami to end the season after starting 11-0, and people tend to forget how we got to that point and started the season 11-0.
