But did you feel your limitations at that point? Did you have any doubts or did anybody tell you maybe you shouldn't do this?
24:26
Not necessarily.
24:27
I felt kind of like I was Elle Woods when I went to law school.
24:30
I'm not going to lie to you.
24:32
I did not have any political science background.
24:35
I didn't have any legal background.
24:37
I did not have that.
27:52
Have you thought about how this could all be done better with accommodations?
17:47
Mm-hmm.
17:47
And what the Frist Center wanted to do was bring together a group of neurodivergent experts and leaders in our community in order to address issues around entrepreneurship.
17:58
So every single one of us who is a current fellow, they are some of the most incredible people that I've had the pleasure of working with and knowing across the neurodiversity spectrum.
18:09
All of us have entrepreneurship experience.
18:11
We've all had our own consulting companies or tech-based companies.
18:16
We've all done something, and we wanted to figure out, how do we help make- ... entrepreneurship more accessible for neurodivergent folks.
18:23
And also a lot of their programs revolve around the sciences and being able to do all sorts of cool things.

41:15
Mm-hmm.
6:46
Okay
6:46
... and I practiced in healthcare litigation and international law.
6:51
I genuinely loved it, but my life story went viral at the same time, which was definitely a story for another day, but I was billed as Florida's first openly autistic attorney, and all that had legs of its own and had its own life, which is really cool, honestly, when I think about it, and I'm very grateful for that experience.
7:09
And I was getting asked to do lots of education around neurodivergence, a lot of education around autism and speaking, and I always wanted to do it, and I thought, "Why not?" And before I knew it, it was a full-blown business in of itself.
7:25
So I left my law practice job that I loved dearly and thought I would take a year or two sabbatical to figure it out, to start this thing, and hope it would pay off somehow or at least be a good story to tell.
7:38
And it's been six and a half years later, I am still doing that.
7:41
[laughs] So I genuinely love that I get to help shape the perception and challenge people's preconceived notions around disability and autism, and also get to use my legal experience as well as my lived experience to make something unique.
