If we talk about the effects of a traumatic brain injury on brain health, how does it matter to have a traumatic brain injury? What consequences does it have here and now, for instance, on cognition and on the risk of dementia, for instance, in later life? If you have a traumatic injury as a teenager, for instance.

Håkan AshinaGUEST
What are the long-term consequences, especially the cognitive or neurodegenerative ones? I mean, I would say we know enough to take it seriously, but not enough to be deterministic, right? And that's an important, I would say, distinction, right? Because After traumatic brain injury, some people will develop, let's say, persistent headache, fatigue, sleep disturbances, mood symptoms, or limitations in work and daily life.

Håkan AshinaGUEST
But I would say that When a brain injury occurs, for example, in a child, the question is not simply what function was lost today, right? It sort of goes to your point, right? The brain is still developing.

Håkan AshinaGUEST
So we're also interested in whether the injury changes our developmental trajectory.

Håkan AshinaGUEST
And we actually do know that more significant childhood brain injuries can affect cognition and function.

But are there other things which you would like to see in a society that should be more brain-friendly and also more helpful in preventing brain injury?
