What's your sort of macro view of the last few months and the sort of months ahead for the UK?

Wow, that's a big question.

So we are 48 days away from budget day on October the 27th.

We are here in a podcast studio in trendy Hoxton trying to fit in.

Some are fitting in better than others.

And I suppose my point is this, that you've got a new prime minister, a new chancellor, but frankly, the problems remain the same.

And I think the key question for me is, as John Healey, who is a really decent man and is one of the few Labour colleagues who I would call a friend and who I would really rate and we would have had in our cabinet in a heartbeat, as John Healey approaches the budget, he is trying to stimulate growth.

What do you think he might do?
