So how is Radley using RFID?
13:07
So we use RFID for the US market.
13:11
RFID is very, very clever.
13:15
It is a microchip with, in effect, an aerial attached to it, which you'll generally find under the stickers on swing tags, sometimes in the collar and in the labels of product.
13:30
And if you throw a radio wave at it, it will read, it will power up the chip and the chip will respond and go, hello, I am this product.
13:41
The thing about RFID, it's not this product, so I'm jeans, blue, size 32 long.
13:48
It'll go, I am pair 97 of 2086.
18:41
going on? So this is a really, really
2:12
I don't know, does that ring true to you? Do you share that optimism or even already seeing those kinds of things coming through?
2:19
I think there is a huge opportunity to benefit from the powers of AI.
2:26
However, there are still market areas where, whether it's the occasional imagination, whether it's the occasional flawed response, that means that businesses can't 100% rely on it.
2:41
And I think it's very, very specific down to the business case.
2:45
So where you're talking about, so obviously I'm talking about operations for retail, wholesale, e-commerce, but on the grander scale of things, ai in in transport and logistics covers a whole whole kind of realm of things from something like diane dynamic routing which is obviously a subject the less miles you put on your truck the less hanging around time you've got the better off you are And obviously people like Uber and Lyft are using dynamic routing as well.
3:18
Freight and fleet management.
3:20
Why don't we check on it before it breaks rather than at the point it breaks? So there's a really, really important there about proactivity in terms of maintenance, but also kind of Uberization of freight.

yeah yeah you've got the wrong metrics you're driving the wrong behaviors it's a very old argument isn't it but yes still still goes around no one's learned no one's learned the truth of it
