There was a very short-lived network up here in Canada called The Documentary Channel, and I had made a film with Isabella Rossellini about her father, Roberto Rossellini.

And it's supposedly a documentary, but it's more of a documentary of her feelings about her father, and it's a bit of a fantasia as well.

So I remember we just called it a docu-fantasia, and that's the genre that I just kept on working within.
