Is this a controversial area? Who'd like to start?
17:26
I'm happy to start.
17:28
I think everyone was smiling because it is almost inundated, particularly if you're on social media, with creatine, that it is the god particle, as far as I can see.
17:38
And it will cure everything and solve every problem humanity has.
17:42
LAUGHTER If we put it in context, I published work on creatine in the mid-1990s.
17:52
So we've long known the importance of creatine when it comes to energy production and so therefore in terms of performance.
18:01
What Andy also articulated beautifully was actually it's about that immediacy and so much of the early work and much of the current work still focuses on high intensity sprint based performance or repeated sprint based performance for which there is a fair body of evidence which would suggest that it is supportive or certainly what we call ergogenic improves performance.

20 MINS LATER

38:44
Greg, are we near the limit?
10:28
Now, I, I don't know how that was arrived at, but that seems quite impressive, and I was thinking, "Can that really be true?"
10:35
No, I...
10:35
Well, I, I think...
10:37
Interesting.
10:37
And, and that was a survey that, uh, that OS, uh, developed and, and we spoke to people across the UK.
10:42
And, and I think if you think about it, that's probably about right because actually, uh, you know, a third of people, generally those people who are already active, um, they probably do use, uh, 10,000 steps, and now we know that that can be 7,000 steps a day as a target for them on, on a daily basis.
11:00
So, so actually that, that makes sense.
12:12
It's like a map, in fact.
