Well, next week we begin the 2026 Fall Holy Day season beginning with the Feast of Trumpets.

Where did the time go this year? And of course, the Feast of Trumpets falls on the weekly Sabbath.

The fall festivals pick up after a three-month-long gap since we observed Pentecost in June.

Is the importance and theme of the Fall Holy Days different from the Spring Holy Days? Do you know they are? Do you know that the Fall Holy Days have a different theme and a different purpose than the Spring Holy Days? That's primarily what we want to talk about today.

What do the upcoming festivals of God, the ones we're about to celebrate, tell us about his future plan for the world? Well, let's go back to the book of Leviticus and review what God originally instructs about his festivals, and that is Leviticus chapter 23, if you'll turn there, please.

So what we're going to do today is we are going to have a brief survey of on the seven annual holy days, the crux of their meaning, and how the spring holy days in purpose and theme are different from the fall holy days that we're about to celebrate.

What was the result?

Well, as we ended up last time, Vic, it was very difficult for him because he went there as an agent originally for Pennsylvania, but as time went on for other colonies and he really wanted to heal the breach, he considered himself a British citizen and a subject to Britain.

And Because of his popularity, because of his reputation, he worked very, very hard to try to find a middle ground between the colonies who were being alienated and the demands of Britain on those colonies.

But as we mentioned last time, the straw that broke the camel's back was in 1774 with the cockpit incident.

It was there that he realized that all of his efforts were in vain, and he's already beginning to think about leaving England and returning back home to Pennsylvania.

Then he gets word that his wife, Deborah Reed, died while he's in Europe.

Again, she was a steady life partner of Franklin's for 44 years.

So tell us about his early life and his experience as a young adult.

Well, he was born in Boston on January 17th, 1706.

Huge family.

He was the 15th of 17 children to Josiah Franklin, his dad.

His father was a tallow maker.

Now what this meant, and this was a terrible occupation.

What he did is he rendered fats from animals to make soap.

happened in 1747 that he wrote that

Just a simple sermon today, what we might call the basics.

Nothing complicated, nothing real strong in theology or some of the topics that I occasionally like to cover.

We're here in the heart of summer, and I would like to remind us today very simply of our calling.

Our calling is comprised of two things.

One is support for the work of God, preaching the gospel throughout the world and making disciples, and we support it financially.

We support each other by coming here every Sabbath and fellowshipping together and worshiping our Creator with other people of like mind.

Colossians 3:12, Paul says here, "Therefore, as the elect of God, holy and beloved, put on tender mercies, kindness, humility, meekness, longsuffering," that was fruit number four that we covered, "bearing with one another," once again, sometimes we may not click, we may, may not get along in our personalities because of our backgrounds or our thoughts, but still patiently bearing with one another, forgiving one another, "if anyone has a complaint against another, even as, even as Christ forgave you, so also you must do." Remember what Jesus told His disciples, "70 times seven," and He didn't mean 490 times.

What's so unique and special about this high school?

Well, first of all, Plano East on the east side, number love.

It is the It was a school that we opened up 45 years ago.

And it was our quest to earn the first state championship, the UIL state championship.

It's a beautiful campus.

Like I said, we have about 6,000, a little bit more than 6,000 students in our feeder school all the way to our high school.

And the story is really centered around 14 players and five coaches.

Hmm.

Well, again, I wanna mention that most people don't realize that in 1777 when he's a member of the Virginia House of Delegates, that he proposed an emancipation proposal in Virginia to eventually free the slaves.

Uh, obviously he was mocked by his fellow plantation owners in the Congress, completely shut down.

It never became law, but you have to give him credit for trying.

Uh, that's something that early on in his life he was very serious about and really wanted to eliminate slavery, but as he grew older, he came to see that it just was not time.

It just was not going to happen.

Another thing that I think most people forget when they criticize the Founders is the Declaration of Independence states that governments derive their legitimacy from the consent of the governed.

Hmm.

I would be

happy to.

Jefferson had more of a personality like George Washington.

They were both from Virginia.

They both came from a rather elegant gentry background.

So he was much more like George Washington than he was John Adams.

He was imaginative.

What was Jefferson like as a vice president and the third president of the United States? This might be more than just two minutes.

Well, last Sunday was the American celebration of Father's Day, and I hope all of you fathers, either father physically or a father spiritually...

I know some have nieces and nephews and even children in our church, though they're not the biological father, they spend time talking to them and mentoring them and showing concern and love for them.

Whether you're a biological father or a spiritual father, I hope you had a fulfilling and enjoyable day, and thank you for all that you do.

Well, today, I would like to talk about God, our Father, our God, the very being that Jesus Christ referred to Himself as Father and taught us, His children, to refer to Him as our Father who is in heaven.

When I was a young boy, I was incorrectly taught the difference between, uh, the God of the Old Testament and the God of the New Testament, and it went something like this.

The God of the Old Testament was considered to be rather withdrawn.

But during the most intimate moments of their life, they become one.

Moore went on to explain how these supposed drug dealers had forced her to bury Abraham's body on her own property, and now she needed help moving it.

Dede Moore showed him where she had buried Abraham Shakespeare's remains on the property, exactly where he was buried under this concrete slab.

It was about a 900 square foot slab that she had a concrete company come and pour on the property to basically cover where she buried Abraham Shakespeare.

So Dee Dee's assuming, okay, this guy who's going to take the rap and Greg Smith are going to dig up Abraham's remains and get rid of them for me.

So this is when Dee Dee takes it upon herself to go out and start shopping for items that she thinks in her mind would help dispose of a body.

So she gets some shovels.

She gets a bunch of like plastic tarp, bleach, latex gloves.

But could they prove she pulled the trigger?

Can you give us a brief outline of her life, the life of Abigail Adams? I

And next to Dolly Madison, we'll eventually talk about her as well when we get to her husband, John.

Two very remarkable, influential ladies as part of the American Revolution.

So Abigail Adams was born in 1744, and lived until 1818.

She was a writer, most known as an advisor to her beloved husband throughout their long marriage.

She was a first lady.

So, Greg, in surveying Adam's life, what were the accomplishments and leadership qualities of John Adams?
