Henry just needed to speak a word and heads rolled around his throne.

The only sound was ominous.

Menacing.

Thunder.

But what if there was a king? whose authority was just as absolute as all that, but whose heart was not moved by cruelty, but rather by compassion? What if he had a king who could wield that kind of authority, and yet his main goal was not to look out for himself or to protect himself, but to do good to other people around him? Well, that's what we're going to look at today as we drop into this story, kind of at the beginning of the Gospel of Luke.
