i like to understand how someone got involved in auto repair industry because auto brand industry is not for everyone by any means obviously you've been you've been in you've been in it for a good while now but like how did your roots begin
1:32
yeah no it's a great question kelsey you know as i i started my shop out of my garage i realized this year was 25 years on wow uh september 1st right and if if everybody remembers what happened 25 years ago on September 11th means I was officially on my own in business, no safety net for 10 days before the world changed.
1:57
And I remember those thoughts going, man, I wonder if my boss would take me back.
2:02
Did I make a big mistake here? But I was able to continue to grow through the tragedy that happened in America and move forward.
2:09
But I had been in the business about 10 years before that.
2:17
And I, you know, when I was 15, almost 16 years old, there was a guy down the street and he worked for Chrysler.
2:25
Like he did tests, testing for engines and, and all kinds of stuff.

21 MINS LATER

23:14
Is there a point where you're like, yeah, now this shop is done and set and now I can go to the next one? Is there like, are these magical numbers or is it like, nope? What are we
30:11
So therefore, why why a would I go to university when I can create a one billion one dollar or one billion one person company by using Gemini chat GPT or perplexity number one? And the second thing is, OK, so what should education look like if I don't have to spend years collecting knowledge when I have it at my fingertips?
30:35
Yeah, so it's a great question.
30:36
I think about it a lot.
30:38
My wife, by the way, says the reason I'm so optimistic about AI is I could retire now.
30:42
If I were 35, I'd be terrified, she says.
30:46
I actually don't think that's true.
30:47
I've always loved learning.

17 MINS LATER

47:55
I suppose if we draw back a little bit, What are we recommending to businesses and workers everywhere? Are we recommending, you know, they learn this tool to create a bigger pie? Are we recommending that consultancy companies start to cooperate with AI, maybe cooperate with each other? What is the future of knowledge workers or what should it look like?
