So I was just interested in who influenced you in your early days.

Well, it's a very boring answer, to be honest.

It's probably my parents.

I mean, I've been thinking about it.

I recently did a chat to the MCC.

I did it just before the AFL grand final.

And it was, they wanted me to sort of go through my early days and, you my career.

What would you say to your younger self?

Yeah.

Um, just the way he went about it, for me, Broadie, is...

Like, one from a technical point of view, but the way he paced his innings, he was able to absorb pressure at times.

He's looking to score, um, off the loose ball.

Sometimes there wasn't many, but he counterattacked, you know, a little bit, but it was just proper test match batting.

Yeah.

So just with that new ball, you might get one that really skid on, and then you might get another one that really bites.

So even if it's not Jacks, you know, Bethel might be able to do a good job as well, um, if they get a right-hander out there at some stage.

Yeah

... he's just dynamite.

Um, and he has been, you know, prone to nicking off a little bit with the ball going across him or, or swinging away from him as well.

But you can just sort of see with Travis Head, once he sort of gets into that zone when he feels like the danger's over, then he just, he just takes it to another level.

So what I like about him opening is that generally he has taken his time a little bit.

You know, his first-

... and he just took his eyes off the ball, um, just a split second, and that cost him taking the wicket of, of Travis Head.
