I'm curious, Grant, then, is it a cliche to think that you were just reading books on your bed or something like that all throughout childhood or something? What was your experience like growing up?

I guess in some ways, I would say it was pretty kind of normal and somewhat boring.

What maybe is noteworthy is I'm... from a big family.

I'm the oldest of 10 and I was homeschooled through grade school and high school.

And so especially I was born in 83.

So that was something that homeschooling was, you know, not normal.

Now it's become a bit more mainstream, but yeah, like relatively suburban, you know, kind of later grade school, you know, grew up in Cincinnati and got into art you know, at a somewhat young age, like especially music, I think I started playing the piano at eight, eventually got into the guitar at, you know, probably around 12, 13, but always had an interest in the visual arts as well.

So When you manipulate these images, is it like all digitally edited or, you know, like I'm, my philosophy on photograph is set the perfect conditions and then photograph it, you know, like, cause that's how my brain works as like a artist that works a lot like from representation, but what kind of tools and techniques or things are you doing to kind of mess with that kind of like level of, yeah, making it so that it's not just something to index or, you know, quickly inventory is like, oh, it's a nude image.
