You've been in the position that the players were in yesterday when with the application and attitude and ability out
12:11
there? The biggest thing for me when I've been into a new club, I don't go in for these big long speeches trying to win people over in the first day.
12:21
I know people say about first impressions, but first impression can be false as well.
12:26
Everyone can put on an act, myself, players, everybody for a day or two.
12:31
The character and personality of everyone is over time, through good and bad, through all different sorts of scenarios.
12:38
So I prefer to be patient with that, to see players, see staff members over a considered amount of time.
12:47
And I'd like them to be that with me.

15:39
You've spoken at length about the importance of Chris Luchetti and him coming with you, but has there been any news yet on the rest of your backroom staff and coaching staff yet? And is there anyone already at Preston in the coaching set-up who will be remaining with you?

18:01
So what have you seen here that you thought, yes? Because it got to be more than just a heartstring, isn't it?
18:07
Oh, 100%.
18:08
I'm a professional.
18:09
I'm in a professional job.
18:13
I'm a football manager.
18:14
I want to win.
18:15
I want to be successful.

24:09
So what do you think you can achieve here?
36:24
Does, does that change expectations this year? Have you had to manage expectations in terms of obviously the changing room or, or people above and staff?
36:34
I th- I think it probably has changed expectations, um, with the, the fan base without a shadow of a doubt.
36:40
You know, 'cause I remember the sort of, um, the, the sort of approach or the hope of the f- the, the majority of the fans when we came into League One was just to stabilize and be a League One club.
36:51
You know, because been in League Two for six, seven years, obviously difficult time for the whole club.
36:57
So I think they would've been happy with us finishing, you know, just safe really.
37:01
Um, but obviously we went a little bit better than that and, um, sort of put a target on our backs.
37:06
But I've sort of, uh, we just spoke...
40:23
How do you see the, the challenge in front of you as a coach this week?
27:59
In your time, both of you at Preston, who were the players you'd pick out, Graham, while you were at Preston? As teammates? Yeah.
28:10
Well, I think we were both really fortunate.
28:12
Obviously, like I said, I joined in League One a couple of years before Skip did.
28:20
And the club was growing and getting better.
28:23
You know, David Moyes was a young manager then.
28:26
I think he was only 37 at the time, but was driving everything forward.
28:31
And I think I was there for eight years in my first spell.

33:59
Obviously, how does the promotion in 2025 rate in your history of success, do you think, as a management duo?
Annie MinoffHOST
12:45
Do you think you might have to lower your prices?
12:47
I think we'll likely have to in the short-term.
12:50
It's not sustainable, obviously, in the long-term.
12:52
Solar, uh, there's not a whole lot of margin in the solar side for a company that's been in business like us and, and is trying to treat our team members correctly, and we... you know, it's all W-2, all health insurance for all our team members.
13:07
These aren't just laborers that we bring in.
13:09
So we have a decent amount of cost that, you know, there's a certain point where we say we can, we'll do what we can, um, so we'll just watch the market, um, and see where we are.
13:19
We're, it's gonna, it's gonna hit our volume, our ability to maintain our staff, but, um-
Annie MinoffHOST
14:44
He says it's getting closer, but isn't there yet.
