Oddly enough, I found Minnie the Moocher a delightful but very, very difficult aria.

I must confess that when it came time for me to sing it, I suffered the first attack I've ever had of real stage fright.

When I was finished, I was certainly ready for the showers.

That's praise on a high scale.

Last spring on my Scandinavian tour, I found Luxe soap wherever I went.

There was even a big poster with my picture advertising it in every hotel lobby in the towns I sang in.

That's Grace Moore, who's hosting a birthday party at the bookstore across the street.

I'm an instructor at the Kingston Ceramic Studio, so I'm here with a bunch of my coworkers from the studio.

That's especially important as it embraces its new identity as an arts mecca with a lot of young artists like Grace setting up shop downtown.

I think people have really been prioritizing building community, and I feel like so many people in the arts, outside of having their own practice, are really going out of their way to create spaces for people to come together in person and share creative

So I came from a family of nurses, my mom's two sisters.

I have five cousins that all became nurses.

I also came from military.

My aunt served in World War II, my uncle in World War II, and multiple cousins over the years.

So military and nursing has always been a part of my being from a young age.

So when I decided I wanted to go to school, I went to St. Joseph's Hospital School of Nursing in Ottumwa, Iowa, Southern Iowa.
