You've mentioned your background, but how about, what's your war game? What's your favourite periods? What scales? What rules?

How did I get into war gaming? It's very much, as a young kid at junior school, I used to play a lot of chess and build and paint the obligatory FX models.

A few years later, Comp, I found some like-minded individuals, and this invariably led to the two hobbies merging into a very basic form of wargaming.

As with many of us from my era, this started with playing games on the living room floor with a couple of friends, an A4 handwritten set of rules, and a couple of boxes of AFX ACW figures, where a six on a D6 was a hit.
