92:55
How do you generate more cod in there, Glenn?
92:57
Yeah, it's a good question.
92:59
So early in the year, it felt like we were getting a lot of inside 50s, but I think we were, yeah, somewhat around 20% conversion.
93:05
So... we're in a different place now where we're not getting as many looks and a lot of games sort of played between the 50s, but we're scoring.
93:15
So I think it's probably just our speed of ball movement.
93:18
If we can get more speed on the ball, that'll lead to some more inside 50s and put the other team under the pump.
93:24
So, yeah, hopefully we can get some more of those fast entries and score off the back of it.
95:11
And, of course, this week you're talking about Brisbane, obviously, scouting them, and they've only had a couple of wins, but it's one of those things, you go up to their home ground, you've got to make sure that you're on the ball straight from the first bounce.
2:41
How do you generate more cod in there, Glenn?
2:43
Yeah, it's a good question.
2:45
So early in the year, it felt like we were getting a lot of inside 50s, but I think we were, yeah, somewhat around 20% conversion.
2:51
So...
2:54
We're in a different place now where we're not getting as many looks and a lot of games sort of played between the 50s, but we're scoring.
3:01
So I think it's probably just our speed of ball movement.
3:04
If we can get more speed on the ball, that'll lead to some more inside 50s and put the other team under the pump.
5:03
You go up to their home ground, you've got to make sure that you're on the ball straight from the first bounce.
82:30
Probably the, they're the in-form team in the competition.
82:34
Great challenge is definitely accurate.
82:36
So we, we've seen, um...
82:37
They didn't start the year probably the way that they wanted to and lost some games early, but the, the way they've been playing recently, uh, in their four, four wins in a row is, is pretty exciting.
82:47
So yeah, it's gonna be a great contest, and I think we're really excited to play at Alberton again because, uh, as much as the Showdown turnout was fantastic, we hope that our fans come to as many games as they can.
82:59
I know Walshy's been out to a few this year, which is nice, nice support.
83:02
So if we can get, um, similar numbers or, or somewhere around that mark, would be, would be cool.
83:34
Is that something that's really significant to you to make sure that everybody feels part of something bigger than just football?
4:11
They've won their last four, so great challenge to take them on in, in probably the, they're the in-form team in the competition.
4:19
Great challenge is definitely accurate.
4:21
So we, we've seen, um...
4:23
They didn't start the year probably the way that they wanted to and lost some games early.
4:26
But the, the way they've been playing recently, uh, in their four, four wins in a row is pretty exciting.
4:32
So yeah, it's gonna be a great contest, and I think we're really excited to play at Alberton again because, uh, as much as the Showdown turnout was fantastic, we hope that our fans come to as many games as they can.
4:44

5:19
Is that something that's really significant to you to make sure that everybody feels part of something bigger than just football?

1:47
How the hell did you get here? How did this all come about?
1:49
Yeah, it's a bit of a crazy story, I guess.
1:52
Um, so I, I am Melbourne born and bred, and, um, played footy in Victoria all my life.
1:57
And then, um, I spent a fair bit of time at the Carlton Footy Club where I, I played VFL footy.
2:03
And then once I kind of finished up, uh, playing VFL, I got an opportunity to go back and coach in the, the men's side, so, um, largely with the VFL men's.
2:13
So Luke Power, who's a very, very, very good coach now at the Bulldogs, um, him and I struck up a, a relationship, yeah, probably when I was still playing towards the back end of my career, and he was coaching the VFL there.
2:24
And yeah, then I, I just kind of got back into the club via that and coaching, and then it was a strange turn of events.

6:18
Have you found that transition throughout your journey a challenge or a conversation that you've had to have with yourself and also the club th- that you work for?
84:47
Give us some of those exciting prospects you've got coming through.
84:51
Well, I think if you're, if you watch any of our games, people like Chane Goody, um, Ella Heads, obviously Indy Te Hau, like these players who are probably some of those I'm talking about where they've, um, they're still quite young, sort of under twenty-three, but they've played a fair bit of footy now and, um, we're really grateful to have them in our program and, and I'm sure they're really grateful to be a part of it too.
85:13
And, um, then we've got like both my vice captains this year are, are twenty-one, so Sachi Simon, Emily Borg, they're, they're obviously, um, great leaders, great people, and then, uh, most people would know Matilda Sholes, who, um, played for Australia on the weekend and that was great for her.
85:30
But, um, she's obviously a, a great player of the competition already and, and still looking to get better, which, uh, works for me.
85:47
What do you take from there? 'Cause we're all chasing them, aren't we, Glen?
85:51
Yeah, yeah.
85:51
They're, they've obviously been a, a great team for a long time and, um, there's definitely parts of their game that I admire and then there's also parts that, you know, when you, when you do play 'em and we, we won't play 'em in the regular season, but, um, there's parts of their game that you look at and, you know, can we expose that? But I, I think you do that for all other teams where you look at what they're great at and if you play 'em, try and take that away and then, yeah, you look at maybe where you can try and get them and go after those things too.
3:00
Give us some of those exciting prospects you've got coming through.
3:04
Well, I think if you're, if you watch any of our games, people like Shanee Gooden, um, Ella Head, obviously Indi Kaho, like these players who are probably some of those that I'm talking about, where they've, um, they're still quite young, sort of under twenty-three, but they've played a fair bit of footy now and, um, we're really grateful to have them in our program and, and I'm sure they're really grateful to be a part of it too.
3:26
And, um, then we've got, like both my vice captains this year are, are twenty-one, so Sachi Symond, Emily Borg, they're, they're obviously, um, great leaders, great people, and then, uh, most people would know Matilda Scholes, who, um, played for Australia on the weekend and that was great for her.
3:43
But, um, she's obviously a, a great player of the competition already and, and still looking to get better, which, uh, works for me.
4:00
What do you take from there? 'Cause we're all chasing them, aren't we, Glen?
4:04
Yeah, yeah.
4:04
They're, they're obviously been a, a great team for a long time and, um, there's definitely parts of their game that I admire and then there's also parts that, you know, when you, when you do play 'em, and we, we won't play 'em in the regular season, but, um, there's parts of their game that you look at and, you know, can we expose that? 0:59
We know you were at Carlton for five years, but just take us through your footy journey.
1:03
Yeah, I, I've grew up in Melbourne, so, um, spent my whole, whole life before moving to Adelaide, uh, Melbourne, and, um, played a lot of footy.
1:11
Played VFL footy for, for a while, which, um, I, I thoroughly enjoyed.
1:15
And then, um, once my footy days were over, which, uh, thankfully I realized early enough, uh, and gave it away, um, got back in- into coaching and, and back at the Blues where I played some footy.
1:26
Um, and it just kind of all happened from there.
1:28
So yeah, it was, um, yeah, it was a nice little, I guess coming, coming home sort of situation-

6 MINS LATER

7:36
Uh, how's your list going?
7:37
Yeah, a little bit more fortunate.
