You had to wear that fashion.
14:03
What attracted you to go there and work there? There was just something about it when I walked through the doors.
14:08
I mean, originally it was a Teddy Boy shop, but the whole Teddy Boy.
14:12
You know what a Teddy Boy is? Teddy Boys wore these long coats, like drape coats.
14:17
The name Teddy Boy comes from the Edwardian look between the wars that the aristocracy used to wear with like velvet collars on their jackets and slightly long coats, like drape jackets they were called.

And that coincided with Bill Ailey coming over and all that.

There you go.

We were neighbours in London.
49:08
We knew the same people.
49:09
We were sitting in a pub one night and Sid said, we're supposed to be enemies and we're sitting here.
49:14
He said, what can we do about it? Do we need to do anything about it? I said, we could do a gig.
49:19
And, you know, we decided on Monday to do a gig and we played on a Friday night.
49:26
Then we learned a few songs.

There's a term thrown around in the documentary, pub rock, which i had never heard but that that's used as well but the thing i thought was interesting is the on on the pistols and on that early genre of music bands like the faces there were glam bands that seemed to have some influence on what was going on and then you had even mentioned or somebody in the film mentions that pretty vacant was actually lifted from an abba song So these are not people, these are not influences you would expect, I would think, with a band like the Pistols.
