Mm-hmm.

Right.

That, that is such a good question.

I, I'm sure you've heard the term inflection point, and it's usually something in retrospect.

You look, I look back and I go, "Wow, my life really shifted at that point." And when I was in my 20s and 30s I always would experience something and go, "Wow, this is going to change my whole life." In retrospect, it was a small inflection point, and maybe the way I would put it is that I've had hundreds of small inflection points.

Little things that have shifted in my awareness about what I needed to do to go to the next step.

So that's how I see my life, is a whole series of little maybe one or two degree turns, not 90 degrees.

And what have you learned or what do you see from committees like that, that they're addressing or that they need to address when it comes to getting housing built?

Yeah.

That's, that's a really good question.

Honestly, I was fortunate for a number of years, five or six years in a row, to work with Bob Ramer, who was formerly the head of, before his retirement, was the head of Codes and Energy for the CBIA.

And what I realized is how politics, philosophy fit together and how awkwardly they fit together.

And often it takes the nerdy technicians, and maybe I fall under that category, to sit down with the state and with politicians and talk through how things really work and how things get adopted in the industry and how people live and use their homes.

And it was fascinating to me.

Glenn, from your perspective as a longtime board member, what role do you feel the industry needs to continue to play in doing projects like this and actually tangibly addressing homelessness?
