Giulia, what do you, uh, really gain by building a career in London, and what do you have to be ready to, to accept, in your opinion?

Um, so maybe starting from what I have to accept, uh, it's probably gonna sound quite obvious, but definitely it's being far from my family and from my long-term friends.

Again, I did study five years in Milan and then worked three years there.

So I lived eight years in Milan, so I have a lot of people that I'm close to, and I actually am from Bergamo, which is very close to Milan.

So I think living abroad means by natural that you need to have a compromise in terms of how often you can see your family and, uh, your old friends.

But on the other hand, it is an incredible opportunity to be in London.

The reason why I came to London also was for personal reasons in terms of building a family here, being with my partner here.

Is there anything you believe students often underestimate when preparing for an international career in finance?
