Well, the surrounding area was much different than it is today.

yes yes the photos of the early kind of landscape are just amazing there is some downtown new hall kind of existence but very different than what we see today we've talked about the importance of william s hart's sister and william s hart's sister mary ellen kind of was with him the entirety of his career um acted kind of as his manager at one point when he was a stage actor kind of as his costumist And so we can see the importance of Mary Ellen really in just kind of the size and the grandeur of her room.

So we talked about how she was in a wheelchair.

Her room opened straight out to the patio, which would have allowed her access to the chauffeur's quarters and a tea house that's out back.

And she also has a very good balcony on the front of her room that would have allowed her to see out to the community view that we just talked about.

She also had a beloved cat, Westport Puffins.

So this is her cat carrier here on her wheelchair.
