What are the elements of teaching and student development that sort of standard policy metrics generally miss? And if you could shift or if there's a particular variable that we should be paying more attention to, From your experience or from your perspective, could you share what that is? For example, something, a metric that we should be measuring or should be measuring to a greater extent should be breaking down in a more granular fashion versus the way we treat it now.

Well, so you mentioned data points as there's.

So it's just fascinating to me.

There's this significant thrust on standardized testing.

So like an AP exam, because I teach AP language composition.

And so there's pressure to make sure that your students are competent enough that they can pass the test.

So you're, as an educator, you're somewhat being You can be judged by the performance of your students and it can incentivize one to do their best work because we know there will be receipts at the end of the semester, right? With those students either passing the test, the high flying colors or failing the test.

the leader of a highly successful non-mandatory institution and it's these sort of foundations that sort of carry on into these sort of institutions or gatherings or sort of groupings throughout a person's life how do you see your you know, sort of in the development of a student in both the lens of that coach, both the lens of the mandatory and the non-mandatory interaction.
