What do you think about the, the selfish route comment? I mean, when you're in that state, I've never been in that specific state, so I can't even talk to it, but someone in that state, are they being selfish? Or is it just like, "I just can't go on"? Like, h-how is that?

It's the latter.

I don't like it being categorized as selfish.

To someone who is in general good mental health, I understand why they would, uh, feel that it's selfish.

I completely understand that.

But again, from my point of view, from someone who's been there and continues to be there for to some degree, I don't look at it as a selfish, and I hope you can't.

Can you imagine how hopeless you have to feel to even consider harming yourself to the point of death? I hope you and your audience never feel something like that, but it's, to someone who has felt it, it's not a selfish thing.

You are literally wired from it.

I remember hearing the actor Kelsey Grammer, who everybody knows from Frasier, and he's very open about his past addictions and use of cocaine, and he said, "You know, I didn't use coke because it sucked.

Coke in its moment was fun as hell.

You stayed up all night.

You played, uh, Trivial Pursuit," which seemed for some reason to go along with that.

But then it grabs you.
