We wanna hear it all.
5:25
Okay.
5:25
So I believe that everybody on the planet has something to offer, but I don't think that everybody finds it, or some people find it and they lose it, right? Like, if you're, if you're a great artist, but you're in a car accident and you lose your hand, right? So I, I think everybody has something to offer, and if everybody could do their thing, we wouldn't need money, right? 'Cause money is the, the great equalizer.
5:53
Money is, I can't do art no more, but I can give you these pieces of paper and you'll give me a chicken, where it used to be, I'll give you a painting, you'll give me a chicken, right? Or, you know, Jason will do a show, and because I like the show, I'll send him some of my donuts that I cook, and this other lady will send him a scarf, right? So I think if, if we could all contribute, it would, it would, we wouldn't need money.
6:18
I think when people lose their ability to contribute in the way that they want to the big picture is when we start seeing people go down these rabbit holes and, and drugs and, and alcohol and things like that.
6:30
You know what I'm saying? And, and, and that could be any number of reasons.
6:34
I, I was listening to a show you had recently.

2:51
The book is the culmination of some findings I had.
2:56
It's my story kind of interwoven.
2:59

Yeah, it's like residential light.

Could you tell us a little bit of your backstory?
0:59
Sure.
1:01
I am a person in long-term recovery.
1:04
For me, that means I haven't had illicit drugs or alcohol in 18 years.
1:09
And I am now 60 years old.
1:14
I've been fighting my addiction since I was in my early 20s.
1:18
I actually got kicked out of high school for selling drugs and then, you know, did the usual progression towards addiction.
