Tell us about how you started Castlefield and where it all grew from.

We started Castlefield, I suppose it goes back to my dad.

He worked for the Farm Relief and my mother worked for the Arden Survey.

She was a cartographer, so she was making maps.

And my dad just had a passion for breeding and he used to hunt and he had one mare and he ended up covering her then with the local stallion and He bred a mare that ended up jumping with Jack Hutchison and she was second in the six-year-old final in Dublin.

I was maybe nine or ten at the time and I was just starting to ride.

But it was probably from very humble beginnings that somebody looked in to say that we would have grown it to such an amount.
