Are you doing the show just because you know you're going to get free food in the green room? Is that how bad it's been with the grocery prices?

No, I'm doing the show in town just because I have been here.

Of course, I went to Las Vegas to The Flamingo back in 2004, um, and, and for 30 days, and I wo- wound up staying there for 10 years at The Flamingo.

So I left, and I went, and I was talking to a friend of mine, Dan Ewen, who I've worked with, my collaborator on my books and everything.

At the time, Orange is the New Black was the hottest show out, and Laverne Cox was the actress.

I knew nothing about either, but I had read about it, and it was very popular.

And then I thought about, what if I had a son that left Alabama as a country man, old man down South, and went to New York to do his thing, to be who he wanted to be, do what he wanted to do.

You saw that, right? I watched the

same thing.

It was shot in like a modern grocery store.

I said, I've got to go.

Because I've been to Johannesburg and I've been to Cape Town, South Africa.

Cape Town is like Hawaii.

It's really beautiful.

And then, so you left a successful career.

I'd
