21:31
Uh, but what can you tell us about this column?
21:35
All right.
21:35
Well, I would warn all the, uh, listeners and viewers to, to kind of, uh, hang in there on this one.
21:39
It's a sort of a complicated topic, but it is one that we all, I think, care about.
21:45
Um, we all seem to feel we don't get the handicap strokes where we deserve them.
21:51
And yes, back in 19- I think in 1986, I wrote a column for Golf Magazine s- the, the title was Your Scorecard May Be Cheating You.
22:00
And the idea was that handicap strokes were distributed sort of dumbly, and the USGA had done a pretty poor job at, at first they said, "Oh, just take the longest holes on the golf course, and those would be the first handicap holes." And, you know, so that e- ended up being the par fives.

[laughs]
39:16
But when you're compiling a book about golf logos, where do you start?
39:23
Yeah, well, obviously we had to select 100, and that's not easy to do.
39:26
There were probably 40,000 golf clubs out there, each of them with some kind of symbol.
39:32
So the logo lads and I and the book's publisher all kind of delved into our own little backgrounds and started looking through the Internet and made lists and We came up with a kind of a working list of 400 and eventually whittled that down to about 200.
39:50
And then we met at Clay Jackson was one of the logo labs.
39:54
We met at his home in Atlanta about a year ago and had a lengthy meeting and kind of slashed to the last hundred out of the 200 and came up with our list.

6 MINS LATER

46:33
So what's the difference then between logos in the first or second tier versus the ones that are down at the bottom? Or is there a big difference?
46:43
Well, I'd say that these are all champions, all 100 here.
