So what has the group planned to do to campaign to stop these threats?
3:09
Well, you know, it was very disappointing to see that this is all kicked off again because we thought that we had, we did win a significant victory in getting the heritage overlay put on the market and to put the halt on the previous plan.
3:22
But now we're back to, you know, all the raising awareness in the community because the government doesn't have very good processes to do that we think it's in their interest not to do it obviously because the less that people know about it the less people can object to it so one of our main jobs is just to raise awareness amongst everybody that hey this is actually on the table and that at the moment what you can do is make a submission to the planning department about it to engage victoria registering opposition and what you think what to happen there But going forward, there's a state election coming up, so we'll be scrutinizing all the candidates, supporting candidates who support public acquisition or the protection of the market, essentially.
3:59
And we'll be holding those who are happy for the demolition to go ahead, their feet to the fire.
4:05
That's the immediate term.
4:06
But this stuff lasts.
4:08
This is a forever battle at the moment.
