George Hemmings

He's had an appearance in the League Cup last night.

Why don't we start him? Now the answer to that is he's behind George Hemmings.

So we've someone who's on high wages who could be quite expensive.

But if we're looking around and saying, actually, this 19-year-old homegrown lad, he's actually better.

So it looks like it's going to be, yeah, so Beauregard and Mattson, the two fullbacks with Howard Bellis and Mings, two center halves.

You're going to have Goretzka and Gomez holding down with Buendia, Hemmings and Mboy and then Brian Maggio up top.

with a bench of Suzuki, Cash, Barkley, McGinn, Kamara, Garnaccio, Allison, Abraham, and Keba Cisse is back on the bench as well, which is great to see.

Absolutely brilliant to see, to be honest with you there, that Keba Cisse is there.

The fact that our squad is getting stronger and is getting stronger due to players coming back from injury and also to young players standing up and being counted as well.

So, look, an exciting team there.

I think we can all say Maggio, Hemmings, Gretzky, all players we wanted to see.

Harwood Bellis, obviously, as well, a player who's come in, somebody we wanted to see as well.

Even like, you know, B's had a few games at the start.

George Hemmings is in and around it now.

And I think that's good.

That's why I think Bournemouth's really important for a very different reason, just in terms of that's where you can just pull the floor up a little bit of everyone's ability, where you can give a correct score game.

oh, will he play Sancho and will he play Leon Bailey on the wings? And you're kind of going, oh, Jesus, I don't know, do I want him to play either of them ever, you know? And there was times you were talking yourself into maybe Harvey Elliott gets seen in this game and stuff like that.

So now we realistically could see George Hemmings, who everybody should be excited about, homegrown talent.

We could see Bundy and we could see him buy all behind Tammy Abraham or Brian Maggio.

And I don't think there's any one of those players that anybody would look at and go, no, he's not good enough to be playing here.

He's one of the big reasons why we're here in this part of the competition.

And if it's not him, it's going to be Maggio, who's 17-year-old Colossus that we're all looking forward to see.

So what I'm getting at here as well is, and I didn't even mention it, and you mentioned it there a moment ago, is Our second string that we were bringing in so far from what we've seen this year contains World Cup winners in Goretzka, could contain season pros in Dross Barkley and exciting players in Maggio and Boye and Hemmings.

And that's the difference, I think, that the fact that our players came in, that have come in this season, have hit the ground running, it's allowed us to have this exciting underbelly to our team as well, Paddy.

Because on the bench, there's somebody that isn't there that is going to cost us a hell of a lot more money.

Because the benches, Bizot, Mings, Barkley, Buendia, Ibrahim Mubai, Bogard, Goretzka, Maggio and George Hemmings, and no place for Alejandro Garnaccio there, who A lot of people might have thought Alisson might have gotten loaned out and Bayern on the right, Garnaccio off the left, but it just goes to show the hard work and I suppose kind of, you know, doing what, building the structure, as Una Emery says, or playing towards the structure, means way more in this system than price tags or anything else.
