Geoffrey MannGUEST
We receive food from the major supermarkets in Geelong, which is, uh, past the use-by date or not needed anymore.

Geoffrey MannGUEST
Uh, that food comes into Geelong Foodshare, and that food is sorted, the fruit and vegetables, and very little of it has to be thrown out really.

Geoffrey MannGUEST
Uh, Geelong Foodshare also, um, has a kitchen there where we prepare meals, takeaway meals.

Geoffrey MannGUEST
They are then frozen, and what happens is how they distribute the food is that they have a shop there, which is equivalent to a supermarket, where people come, uh, they come with food vouchers, so no money changes hands.

Geoffrey MannGUEST
They have vouchers, and that entitles them to so much, uh, frozen food, vegetables, or fruit.

Geoffrey MannGUEST
Everything is marked with a little sticker, whether it's blue, red, or green, which gives them so many points, which they're entitled to.
