American former American football player

7:42
It's awful to hear, especially being 37, but Alan Bailey was an unbelievable teammate, just a great human.
7:56
Gary Dieter? Yeah, sad to see.
8:01
Praying for him and his family.
8:02
I mean, you got to think about, like Sherm said, when I first walked in the Chiefs locker room, probably similar to Pat, it's like that's the first guy you notice.
8:12
And we were always, like that was like, I think I've said it on here before, like that was like the one guy I was like scared of, like going to the locker room because he's a giant, giant dude.
8:20
I mean, even when I was at Bama, nobody was at Bama like that.
8:24
He's just a giant dude.

28 MINS LATER

36:17
Slap that ass.
Andy ReidSOUNDBITE_SPEAKER
12:00
I mean, on a limited basis or something.
12:03
Coach was kind of breathing loud in the mic there.
12:07
Gotta check him out.
12:08
Uh, [clears throat] I mean, it's probably a good thing.
12:12
Chargers aren't great They're not ...
12:15
I think they'll put up a good fight.
12:17
I mean, the Chiefs and Chargers are always, uh, for whatever reason, no matter what the records are, it always is a good game, so they always play better against us for whatever reason.
12:28
Or a divisional game, but, I mean, they're, they're searching
32:43
There's accountability
32:44
...
32:44
but that's, that's the thing.
32:44
It's like you get a lot of these other organizations that, like, let thing, these things slip or slide and go and, and then long down the ride, like, they, they start to, they start to come out and it, the team starts to splinter.
32:57
And that's why he's been so successful everywhere he goes.
32:59
He holds everyone accountable.
33:00
Everyone's to the same standard.
37:53
Yeah, but...
45:08
Well, I'll, I'll, I'll defer to you on that.
45:12
Yeah, I mean, listen, you can watch tape and see how a guy runs and runs routes to see if he can do it at a higher level, and I just, I don't see it with him.
45:21
You get somebody that's bigger, and again, every DB in the NFL is gonna be as fast as you playing on the field.
45:28
So then it's what can you do differently, and I don't think he's got that skill set, slash I don't think his...
45:34
The way he moves isn't the way you want a receiver.
45:36
His stride's too long, plays upright.
45:55
Mm-hmm
45:55
... whatever summer.
45:08
Well, I'll, I'll, I'll defer to you on that.
45:12
Yeah, I mean, listen.
45:13
You can watch tape and see how a guy runs and runs routes to see if he can do it at a higher level, and I just, I don't see it with him.
45:21
You get somebody that's bigger, and again, every DB in the NFL is gonna be as fast as you playing on the field, so then it's what can you do differently, and I don't think he's got that skill set/I don't think his...
45:34
The way he moves isn't the way you want a receiver.
45:36
His stride's too long, plays upright.
45:55
Mm-hmm
45:55
... whatever summer.
39:43
That happens.
39:44
And that's fine.
39:45
Ask the question.
39:47
So she's going to write it down.
39:48
She knows the wrong receiver was tagged.
39:50
I'm not buying that.
39:51
I'm not buying that at all.

6 MINS LATER

45:54
Nice.
11:10
even you?
11:11
No. I'm shocked.
11:12
He's going to lock down half the field, so you're going to have to rely on the other half.
11:17
They're going to sit back, keep everything in front of them, make it tough to – just throw the ball and I mean obviously if you can run the ball that's going to be a huge benefit but if you can't run the ball like last year then the offense looks horrible versus what happened in the first game is you can't throw it that's okay let's just give it to give it to the horse and let him eat but Watching that game, I think Tyreek would be the perfect person to come back here.
11:50
Just his skill set alone with the types of receivers that we have, his skill set is definitely a difference maker with them.
12:03
Because you have, I don't know, I can't get a read on Xavier still.
12:07
Man,

11 MINS LATER

22:38
What do you think of special teams on Monday night? Do they play well? Do you see improvement?
34:08
we're here and they're healthy what is your level of confidence in the wide receiving group
34:18
I think it's a decent group as long as nobody gets hurt I think the moment somebody goes down I think it goes from a decent group to a not very good group so hopefully everybody can stay healthy I think they've had a bunch of time off between the last preseason game and now where everybody should be in shape and should be ready to rock but again running the ball does so much for receivers in terms of creating space and I think that's something that's going to help those guys tremendously is actually having running backs that can bring safeties down in the box and have those linebackers creep up a yard or two to just create that one or two yards of extra space.
34:59
It feels good as a receiver when you can just run around and not have to worry about running inside against smoke by a linebacker because they just don't think we're going to run the ball.
35:08
Same with safeties.
35:09
I
35:37
don't know i mean
35:39
again i think there's so many unknowns with the receiver room just because of the identity of the Chiefs over the last couple years it's like you rely on throwing the ball every single play you don't necessarily have the right guys to do that or have the time to throw the ball and then it just kind of creates a big blob basically it's like Pat's getting rushed receivers really can't run routes because you can't run a route in one second and hope to get open so I think this year will be a much better tell on, like, what do we actually have in that room versus years past.
36:14
Like, yeah, you could say they suck or they could say they're bad.
22:34
Well, you get him out
22:35
on the field, he's going to play well and have the right mentality.
22:39
But you got to love ball.
22:41
Love ball is when things aren't going your way.
22:44
Injuries, off the field, doesn't matter.
22:47
You're going to be there for your teammates.
22:49
And you're going to be selfless, not selfish at the end of the day.
24:15
you're one of these teammates that... is a dog that loves football, that's doing everything they can to fight through an injury, to get on the field, play and everything else, then it will probably frustrate those players if there's guys that aren't doing everything
17:08
Maybe.
17:11
Yeah, I don't know.
17:14
I just think that you got to buckle down at some point.
17:17
It's like you're a second year player.
17:19
You got to.
17:20
And you missed games like.
17:21
You missed a lot of games last year and put the team in a bad spot.

31 MINS LATER

48:20
Yeah.
8:47
were big proponents of eric the enemy coming back and um i saw you both down there on the field had a chance to chat with him how's he doing we talked to him in a tent afterwards but he seemed like he is right back at it and engaged what you think of your little chats with eb while you're down there on the field
9:03
yeah I mean just catching up with him and I mean just really just being dudes to be honest not much just back like we never left type vibes yeah I mean there's not really once you like once you get around like you're only there you're only going to talk to the coaches for a few minutes because those guys are in action but It's just kind of setting the tone and bring back the vibes that we had when we were there.
9:28
Just talking a little smack to them, having fun with them, loosen them up a little bit.
11:21
you know catches that he had there had one of them call back on a penalty but still just progressing the way you'd like to see someone progress
11:29
yeah I think that they're starting to trust him more and put him in different spots in the offense but there's so much that goes into playing I mean for coach Reed like you have to know three different spots when you play receivers so I think they're slowly gaining that trust in him to actually move around and get into some certain spots.
11:49
But, I mean, everything that he's done so far has been great.
11:53
He works.
11:55
He catches the ball.
speaker_5UNKNOWN
27:49
Four?
27:50
They were just one two days ago or three days ago.
27:54
Listen, the Rays will go on, they're on the heater just like the Red Sox were, and they're gonna fizzle out.
27:58
I'm telling you right now.
28:01
But I really, Yandy Diaz, dog.
28:04
Junior Caminero, dog.
28:06
Everybody else, slappies.

5 MINS LATER

33:25
Toub just go to the next group
speaker_3UNKNOWN
4:15
That's what I
4:15
meant.
4:17
Now you're just kind of throwing in whoever's in there, which it seems like everybody who is getting thrown in is making plays, which is great.
4:24
Still seems unfair to Pat.
4:26
Well, when you're going to go against NFL starting DBs, it's not going to pan out like that.
4:33
Sertan's in this division, too.
4:36
I mean, any starting NFL DB is really good.

13 MINS LATER

17:40
And we haven't seen Rasheed Rice yet in the full, you know, full
11:20
So what's the most difficult thing for a rookie or a young wide receiver in his first couple of days at camp with the Chiefs?
11:30
I mean, the rookie camp's just hard because there's not a lot of numbers.
11:33
Like, you're probably one or two people deep.
11:36
You're doing everything.
11:37
And, yeah, you're just grinding for two hours straight.
11:40
Yeah.
11:41
So the first couple days are just, I'd say, physically draining.

5 MINS LATER

17:00
Why were they bad last year?
5:16
marcus
5:17
camp marcus camp special teams guru yep he's gonna do the fellowship uh what's it called the way oh man i'm gonna always blank on this thing whatever the internship is right it's like camp it's actually a great crew this year it's camp um uh jordan lucas if you remember him drop db safety yeah yeah number 24 and then d will damian williams pretty good crew

9 MINS LATER

14:31
His college teammate.
14:33
I like Cyrus a lot.
14:34
I like DeJesus.
14:36
I like him a lot.
14:38
Um...
14:40
Could he actually make the team though? No.
17:17
No, I can handle
17:18
beers.
17:18
I mean, I'm drinking water.
17:20
I made sure, like, after I ran Central Park, it was 100 degrees, so it was super hot.
17:24
So I'm chugging water, Gatorade all day.
17:27
And then I ate a nice big club sandwich at the hotel before I went.
17:31
I just knew I couldn't be hungover the next day, so I just was smart.

24 MINS LATER

41:46
I said 1,208 would be his upside.
Todd Lebo
Todd LeboCORRESPONDENT
2:02
Yeah.
2:03
No, not really.
2:05
Size 5'5".
2:07
Slippery.
2:08
No, not really.
2:09
There's not, like, too many guys ever in the NFL that are, like, tough to tackle.
2:14
Darren Sproles.
5:05
get Cags
22:39
find out
22:40
about? I'm sure there's examples out there.
22:46
I mean, you can bet on anything these days.
22:50
I'd be shocked if there wasn't.
22:53
It's like anything.
22:54
You know there's going to be somebody.
22:56
It's way too accessible not to happen.
23:48
in
27:46
Yeah, no,
27:47
not really.
27:47
Not really.
27:48
I mean, it's early on in the season.
27:52
I shouldn't say early on.
27:53
You're midway through, and you're in a good position record-wise.
27:57
And how the team's playing, and you're missing – a lot of bats offensively, like Stanton should be back relatively soon.

7 MINS LATER

34:38
scare you what they think of their cornerback room right now?
4:04
So wrap up the Kansas City... charity pickle ball
4:11
tournament a great time yeah it was great time thank you guys again for coming out and supporting and being part of it uh money raised yeah champions yep uh i think we we ended up raising same amount as last year so i think a little bit i think right around 4 000 bucks we'll be able to donate uh which is fun um and then i think the champions uh did you play them Yeah, kind of.
4:38
We got to structure it a little bit better in years to come.
4:42
Because we always think we want to play the last game.
4:46
But by the time it's the last game, everybody's kind of ready to get out of there.
4:49
Right, everyone's worn out.
4:51
So me and I could tell everybody wanted to leave.

20 MINS LATER

25:01
did he say these things to you when i mean when you hear these are the
16:42
small but man does he look i mean
16:45
The production and everything else, he looks good.
16:47
Yeah, you worry about his size.
16:51
Can he beat out Remigio is the biggest question, so I don't know.
16:55
I've never really seen Remigio in practice, but I would assume those guys are, I mean, just size-wise, they're damn near the same exact guy.
17:03
But yeah, no, Caldwell, no.
17:07
I guess Xavier Lloyd.

21 MINS LATER

38:06
