Does one need to be religious to study Jewish mysticism?

I think the concept of religion is a tough word to say today.

I think connected to God is the key.

I think everybody has, you know, people, that word itself, you know, doing the mitzvot, I think absolutely.

But if you explain Shabbat, for example, it's, wow, this is a day to receive.

This is a day to, the reason why we don't want to work on Shabbat, because if God's giving the whole day, what are you getting in the way for it? What do you need to work? What do you need to be on your phone? Don't be a slave.

But if you tell people, you can't do this, you can't do this, they don't understand the concept.

Now it sees it as pleasure.
