And it
32:59
actually notified me and I was able to remotely turn off the washing machine and it saved me further damage.
33:05
But something recently we ran into was a product called Droplet.
33:10
And I think, I'm not sure if I saw them at CES or they reached out before CES, but it's basically a device that you put around the main pipe coming into your house.
33:21
So after your water meter, you just clamp it onto the pipe and it uses like ultrasonic to measure water flow and stuff like that.
33:28
The installation is so dead simple.
33:31
I mean, you just clamp it onto the pipe and then you plug it in and then you configure it and it connects right into Home Assistant.

37 MINS LATER

70:32
7th? How do folks get involved in that? What's the best way? Are you going to do something for that? I know it sounds like TJ is going to host something for that.
11:16
I remember you saying, what have they done with what they had? And again, that's around that craft.
11:22
Well, there was the argument.
11:24
So to put into context, Western Australia, WA, had an awards program that had been going at that stage for 16, 17 years, I think.
11:32
This is through DIA.
11:33
Yeah, through the DIA.
11:34
And the South Australian chapter had one that had been going for 20 plus years.
11:38
Yeah.

8 MINS LATER

20:05
It's sort of counterproductive to awards programs to make it more rigorous, no?
KevinHOST
48:25
You wouldn't hardly recognize it from 10, 15 years ago.
48:27
ago. It's had its challenges certainly, Kevin, and I mean, most people probably r- recall the floods of a couple of years ago, um, which it's now bounced back from.
48:36
But the, as, as Brian says, a very active Downpatrick Regeneration working group, um, really keen to see big events come to the town and, and to try to draw people in to enjoy what the town has to offer.
48:49
Um, I mean, the County Down Flower, for example, this year is, is, is coming to the town.
48:53
Um, and, uh, you know, there's a lot of, uh, lot of, uh, other cultural events, really good art center, Down Cathedral of course, the St. Patrick Center, uh, Museum and, and Tourism Center that we're using as our base.
49:06
And of course there's the, uh, the, the Heritage Railway and all sorts of other attractions in the area.
49:11
Um, they get a great traffic actually from, uh, coach tours coming from, uh, off the, off the cruise ships and so forth.

18 MINS LATER

KevinHOST
67:35
And, you know, it's, it creates that more of a family day out there.
2:57
So when this happens, uh, from an IT standpoint, like, what risks can emerge as employees adopt AI faster than the organization can provide the right tools, training, and guardrails for it?
3:09
So I think definitely some level of just incorrect usage leads to security risks.
3:15
There's potential loss of data.
3:17
Amazon's very big on maintaining our data, and so we might let things slip that shouldn't.
3:22
So I, I would agree, a lot of our users, I'd say most of our users probably have a personal ChatGPT or like a Claude license or something.
3:28
I think our biggest concern maybe even outside of that is users just aren't getting enough support even on the personal tools to know what they can do, how they can get used to them in their personal lives outside of work and bring that same productivity in.
3:41
And so the overall kind of ecosystem of like personal tools plus business tools and what we provide I think needs to work better together, and we're still kind of trying to catch up with how those two should blend together, if we provide training on both or just for one or the other.
7:26
Mm.
10:02
What's the advantage of using a tool like OpenClaw or Hermes with Home Assistant the way you're using it? One
10:10
of the things that helps is just those time suck like type of situations, you know, like making dashboards.
10:18
You could spend weeks just trying to perfect your dashboard and, you know, and doing all the ginger code and the placement.
10:25
And then you get a new device and it's like in all the dashboards, where do I got to put this? How do I got presented? Stuff like that, where now I pretty much tell the agent, hey, go create a dashboard with this on it.
10:38
And it goes out and it creates a dashboard and then says done in a couple minutes and says, go check it out and tell me if you have any improvements or what would you like to change? And it will just go through and do it all for me.
10:48
And I love that.
10:49
Now, Wait, wait, OpenClaw, like it's not perfect.

1 HR 8 MINS LATER

79:08
So, you know, that's how it goes.
57:34
Yeah
57:34
... and what it will get from each one.
57:35
And you know, that, like, almost, like, introductory, um, uh, conversation sets the stage for it.
57:43
And then going forward, it's a lot better interaction.
57:46
So one of my, one of my agents I do the most work with, uh, this was an experiment at first.
57:52
When I first jumped into it, this was what my, my, uh, a big experiment for me.
57:55
His name was Sarge, right? And he was a fitness agent.

6 MINS LATER

64:10
[chuckles] Like it is, I've been like, "You're not gonna get out of hand." What, uh, any recommendations on what I should w- start with first? Like what agent should I build first? What, what do you think is the right agent to go with first, or does it, does it just depend on me?
