Have you ever felt that shift in your own life? Like what what what did it quietly cost you before you had any sort of language for what was actually happening?

So you're absolutely right.

Like that proving ground, especially folks that are neurodivergent.

And like it's that ongoing masking of like, oh, I better keep this facade up because people know that I'm neurodivergent or something.

You know, it may cost me my job.

And I was so I was diagnosed out of college age about 26 or so.

And it was when I realized I'm like, wow, something must be up because I feel like I can't adult at all.

Did it reframe any of those early memories for you? Like the times that you would, you know, maybe get in trouble or the times that your energy got disciplined instead of channeled? You know, once you got your diagnosis, did it clear some things up?

So tell us about the door that closed.

Yeah.

So to set up the door that is closing, you have to have a little bit of backstory.

My background is in marketing and communications.

That's where I w- went to university for, that's what I studied for, that's what I thought I was gonna be doing forever.

I had this aspiration to be this marketing executive, and if you're familiar with the, the US-based show Mad Men, um, I wanted to be like Don Draper except for digital marketing.

And I got my wish after, you know, years of hard work.
