How does the technology do this? I mean, it's got to take a ton of data, I'm sure, to come up with some of these
18:20
data points.
18:21
It does.
18:24
There's a lot of different data that goes into CropVoice and powers the CropVoice platform, but it's underpinned by our intersoy and intercorn plants, where we identify specific genes in these plants that respond to when the plant is infected.
18:41
And what we do is we insert and program these plants so that when these genes are triggered, the plants will emit an optical signal, fluorescence, that we're able to detect within hours of the infection happening and weeks before farmers will ever see disease symptoms.
19:02
So we're able to more precisely pinpoint exactly when a farmer should be taking action to protect their crops.
19:09
In addition to our plants, we also run a state of the art DNA laboratory where we are collecting tissue samples from across the CropVoice network, the entire region.

How do farmers take advantage of this new technology?
9:04
Could you explain a bit more about the thinking behind that strategy, whether you still think it's the right strategy, and what surprised you most about those early farmer partnerships?
9:14
Yeah.
9:14
I think it's quite contrary, especially when you work in, in the startup space.
9:19
There's just always this rush to revenue, and the rush to revenue I think can create quite a few missteps because our focus is on optimizing for something that maybe in many ways is, is in conflict with delivering the best product experience.
9:36
So what we've really set out to do at, at InnerPlant, and we started in, in very small, I mean county level, within a couple states, and had just several key networks.
9:50
We did that because we wanted to be so close to the product.
9:53
There's never been a product like this in agriculture, and there's just a lot of learning.

I'm just curious whether there's any sort of example or case study that might be interesting to share about what that has looked like on the ground.
