How, how do you take away some of the, the language the county uses in trying to sell this?

Well, well, you know, I mean, he was the county comptroller.

He, he's not an idiot.

He doesn't have idiots working for him.

But every year we hear, you know, the tax rate's going down, the tax rate's going down as if that had any significance.

It has no significance.

It's completely irrelevant if you also don't know h- you know, what's important is how much are people paying? What are their taxes? So he has this other thing you may have seen.

He probably should have cl- kept that one right off of the, uh, of the PowerPoint.

So when you look at this, what are the kind of things that you look to cut before coming up with an increase?

Well, it's not a matter necessarily of cutting.

It's a matter of structurally, are you in good shape structurally, and are you doing the things that help build your revenue? So just take, for example...

Um, economic development, you know, I know a lot of residents don't want to see economic development, but it makes a huge difference in, in, in taxes.

I mean, so for most of the years that I've been in, in, in office, we've had, uh, economic development, basically, uh, increase in the value of your total assessed value.

Uh, that's, that's how economic development translates into the tax business.

We've been able to increase that by, you know, 1%, close to 1%, uh, every year.

What are you hoping to accomplish? What are you hoping West Seneca to accomplish in that year?
