... "these are all of these things." And I'm like, "Oh my God, I only know what this is because Garth talked to me about this for like an hour not that long ago," right? [laughs]
10:06
Dude, that's so sick.
10:08
I love that, and I love being able to share that, right? Like, um, that's what I nerd out on, and I think, you know, I always get asked like, "Oh, but I'm not Japanese.
10:19
Like, I can't get that." But ev- everything Japan has, we have, and all those, like, uh, all those stories are completely relatable to our lives here, you know? Like, you get fire because, you know, you wanna embody that power, that strength, that like, uh, balance, right? Like, it, it...
10:42
And I appreciate you, like, uh, recognizing the passion I have.
10:49
It, everything I'm doing is paying homage to the history of tattooing and the things that came before me, and very much like, you know, maybe this is a good segue here, but what you're doing with the podcast is, I think, starting to pay homage to the history of things that came before us.
11:11
And, um, uh, like I said to you a little earlier, um, when I was a kid growing up in the music scene, I would want to have my finger on the pulse on everything that was going on just because I was so invested and so into it.

Take care.
2:44
You go in and... music's really loud and there's yeah I like personally a kind of experience where I get to you know hang out with the person that's tattooing me chat you know for a long time and was that part of the reason that you went you know with a with a private studio like did that kind of uh increase your motivation for something that was like uniquely Garth or how did that all come together
3:11
Yeah, I think so.
3:12
I think, you know, you knew, well, I tattooed the panther morph on you when I was at Rick and Morty and Barry.
3:20
And, you know, it's, that was a private shop, but it became more with more tattooers coming into the picture.
3:30
So I just have always done well on my own.
3:34
And I really wanted to create a space that you can be who you are without that little maybe intimidation factor.
3:46
Like, I mean, it was never a crazy tattoo shop like the ones we were going to when we were young, but When there's more people getting tattooed and there's more of your senses going, more conversations here, more distractions, I find people don't sit as well.
