Sep 29, 2026

4:29
And I'm going to let Galen go ahead and introduce yourself.
4:32
Yes, I'm Galen Wilson.
4:34
I come from a little town in southeast Colorado on the eastern Colorado plains.
4:39
We're not what you think about when you think about Colorado.
4:41
We're more what you think about when you think about Kansas.
4:44
We're flat and dry.
4:48
And so...
6:11
So what started you down that road of teaching that?
5:31
Oh, yeah.
5:32
And, and, and so by January, we had another three and a half month trip planned, and we had bought a motor home.
5:40
Uh, the girls were done with the road.
5:42
They'd had enough.
5:43
They stayed home with their 18-year-old brother.
5:45
[laughs] And, uh, and so we left on that trip.
5:50
The stuff coming up out of my lungs was clear, and we left on that trip, and, and got, uh, got six weeks into the trip, I'd just gotten weaker and weaker and more out of breath.

13 MINS LATER

18:56
Yep
OkoroHOST
4:26
And how was it for you and your wife knowing that you were experiencing heart failure? How did you guys react to the whole situation emotionally?
4:35
Okay.
4:36
I'm happy to tell you the story.
4:39
Um, We need to take you back to the beginning of Heather and I. We've been together 23 and a half years now.
4:47
And the first 12 years were pretty amazing.
4:50
We had an amazing connection.
4:56
We were intimate often and just had a pretty great marriage.

13 MINS LATER

OkoroHOST
18:03
Yes.
3:37
That's a switch.
3:39
Yeah.
3:40
It's a quite drastic switch, but you know, that was a lot due to the fact that they don't give farmers enough credit for having to be businessmen.
3:49
And then I'd also taken some business courses at the community college.
3:54
And so I scored like a 92 on the Series 7 on the first time through.
3:59
So I was the duck to water to that.
4:03
And the New Yorkers really loved my laid-back Southeast Colorado accent and attitude.

16 MINS LATER

19:52
So...
27:12
And a 1,000-mile trip, did they give you like how many days you might have or like it was imminent? No.
27:20
No, they didn't act like it was imminent.
27:25
Okay.
27:26
But we did get home.
27:29
Again, we got home around the 24th or so.
27:33
And my insurance didn't kick in until March 1st.
27:37
So my bright idea was I'll go to bed and just rest.

21 MINS LATER

48:58
And I tried something very similar to try to calm her down, but it only works if the other part person wants it, takes
3:01
So I'm curious, what were some of the first moments where you had an understanding of a man, what intimacy meant, and how that related to being a man and showing up as a man? Was there a conversation or a moment in time where you realized you had this picture of how intimacy relates to masculinity?
3:18
I would say as a young man, I was married at 20 and had four kids by the time I was 26.
3:24
And so my first wife and I were very active, very intimate, and she was a wonderful wife.
3:31
I had some disasters in my life early on that led to alcoholism, and unfortunately, between the alcoholism and the repeated disasters, that relationship ended.
3:42
I would say it wasn't any particular one moment.
3:46
I've been always interested in being close and intimate with my wife.
3:51
And then I met Heather in the fall of 2002.

14 MINS LATER

18:10
... what gives you hope that perhaps this is something that not only they can come back from, but that can be the thing that allows them to reset in the most powerful way? What would you share with her around what you've seen after hearing 60,000 stories?
14:00
do or say in that moment that could be helpful?
14:04
I've written a book.
14:05
These men were going into flight mode and withdrawing and just abandoning their wives.
14:11
Once I discovered the Monument Method and started understanding nervous system regulation and fight or flight mode, I saw how much power a woman actually has to help her man with ED.
14:23
I've written three books on ED.
14:25
One is Rebuild for His Eyes Only.
14:28
And it takes him through the ED ladder where you start with the medicines.

7 MINS LATER

21:06
So when I talk about natural remedies, I'm talking about the deficiencies and medication side effects, the lack of sleep, the stress.
BlessedHOST
1:18
Now, Dylan, before we continue, can you tell us more about yourself?
1:24
Yes, you've kind of gone over it a little bit, but basically...
1:34
Heather and I have been together 23 and a half years.
1:37
And the first 12 years were quite frankly, amazing.
1:42
It was a, both of our second marriages and, and, but we hadn't had a strong connection from the beginning that, that continued through those 12 years.
1:54
I would almost say, unlike the typical couple that stays in romance phase for six months to two years, we stayed there for all 12.
2:06
We held hands everywhere we went.

25 MINS LATER

BlessedHOST
26:49
Now, Galen, how can couples maintain connection and desire for decades?
