Why is it worth it to you?
4:17
Again, when I think about when I was younger doing gymnastics, by the time you hit 10 or 12, you start to realize everybody else is doing basketball, football, soccer.
4:26
And you tell them you do gymnastics and they think, "Oh, splits and cartwheels and leotards." And I'm just like, "That's not really what our, my sport is." And when you're a kid and you do wanna be cool, you do wanna fit in a little bit, I just remember the uniform as one of those pain points that I'm like, "Ah, I have to wear this every time I compete.
4:44
This doesn't represent me, doesn't represent really the thing that I love, but I'll just wear it," because you have to.
4:50
And now that I'm older, now that I'm at, you know, one of the people who get to lead where our sport goes, I think it's one of the things that need to change, because it does push boys away when they're young.
5:00
And I think all these small things do add up to our sport eventually becoming popular again or more liked by younger boys.

So when everybody is watching you and the cameras are on you in competition, how do you keep your head straight?
6:02
Yeah, I think, one is I got a lot, I have a lot of gratitude for where I've come.
25:09
Is it still the same team that you had when you were 16? Or has it changed since the games?
25:13
Yeah, so I guess first question has a lot changed.
25:16
I would say...
25:21
I've changed in maturity or experiences.
25:24
I mean, you get a big experience like that, you only grow from it and learn from it.
25:28
Other than that, nothing has changed in the fact that everything else is outside of me.
25:35
So I've changed a little bit, but you don't like, you're not like levitating, feeling like an Olympian all day.
