Does it feel like that as I'm just seeing this through like rose colored glasses or is

Fred GreenhalghGUEST
Yeah, I mean, I think it's funny, you know, I celebrated my quote unquote 20 year radioversary earlier this year.

Fred GreenhalghGUEST
And on some level, it's like the kind of like very indie do it yourself spirit kind of has come back almost.

Fred GreenhalghGUEST
So I think there was definitely a time, you know, so yeah, I think maybe a better way to say this is like, it's a great format for telling stories.

Fred GreenhalghGUEST
There's a lot of people who have unique stories to tell and anybody listening out there who has a unique story is like, I should write a book or I should start a podcast or I should do this.

Fred GreenhalghGUEST
Do your thing because your voice, there may be lots of other things out there, but your thing doesn't exist out there unless you're making it.

Fred GreenhalghGUEST
And I think as long as people are making things and, and, uh, you know, there's a happy world out there.

So one of the questions I had is that like, how do you basically when you step into like an established universe, how do you leave your own creative footprint, a fingerprint while still honoring what fans already love? Like the X-Files, Lock and Key, Star Trek, like how do you do that?

Fred GreenhalghGUEST
One little post on what I just said, though, before we move on from it, is that I think making mistakes is an extremely important part of the creative journey.

Fred GreenhalghGUEST
And so part of how you know when to do it, I won't even say right, because I don't know that we ever quite know what we're doing.

Fred GreenhalghGUEST
But the more stuff you do, the more you get a sense of what worked or didn't work for your specific thing.

Fred GreenhalghGUEST
And so whenever I'm talking to people who are you know, whatever journey, part of the journey that are in, but typically earlier is like, just, just make stuff, please just make stuff.

Fred GreenhalghGUEST
And if it doesn't come out exactly how you want it to be, just learn the lesson and move on to your next thing.

Is there a sound or a couple of sounds that you find the most terrifying in your stories compared to others? Like what are the most popular ones besides screaming, I would say? Yeah,
