How have wilderness emergency response and rescue changed through the years?
13:29
Well, that's one of the most interesting things for me all around.
13:32
It used to be that when a missing person was reported, the Ontario Provincial Police or the Mounties, depending upon which province you were in, would arrive in street gear, as we call it, with Oxford shoes and collars and ties.
13:46
And they're a force which was designed for highway disasters.
13:50
And now we have the Renfrew County Paramedic Service, who are among the most skilled search and rescue people in the entire province.
13:58
What's changed is now that our paramedics work with the police together with their drones, with all of their skills and all their training to facilitate search and rescue.
14:08
And we really are unique here in Renfrew County.

And you've been involved right from the beginning, right? What lit the match of this incredible place?
