So it sounds like you've been at Princeton University Press for a while, which I think puts you in a good position to explain to us what does your press do that's different, what makes you guys special?

Well, so I'm sure that you have been speaking to other acquiring editors at other not-for-profit university presses.

We're all part of the same diverse ecosystem of academic publishing houses, and we do have many things in common.

We are all mission-driven entities, so we're primarily not interested in making a profit, although when that does happen, it's lovely, but it's not the main galvanizing goal for the house.

We are also an academic press.

We have a close affiliation with a university.

Our governing body is composed partly of university people, and we acquiring editors work closely with a faculty board.

I'm wondering what advice you might have for those academics in terms of what you think they should consider trading.
