Ep 42: What An Industrial Website Quote Pays For
12:15

Jo PhillipHOST
today.Well, you were talking with me a few days ago about a prospect interested in a straight site migration
F

They wanted to move off of another CMS platform I'm not gonna mention, and they thought it could be a pretty seamless migration over, but when we, we did that audit, there was a lot of baggage there that had been built prior to her joining the team.
F

That adds a lot of extra costs 'cause there's not necessarily, even in this AI world, this to automatically bring all that over if you want it done correctly.

So it ended up being a price tag that did not fit within their budget, so it was very natural for us to say, "Well, have you really looked at all that content, both site pages and blog articles, that does that really all need to come over?" So as part of our scoping, we did some initial assessment.

They did some evaluation of metrics, discussed as a team, regroup as a team before you just dive into just moving from another platform, and we were able to bring down overall scope on that site 25,000, you know, something, bring it down.

So again, that's part of this process is really evaluating does what we've built in the past still have a place? Do those pages still have a job that they're performing? If not, let's take a critical look, and we can reduce overall budget and spend on that, but just create a better seamless experience as well.

I could see what they were showing interest in, maybe what their journey was before they reached out.
