Why quality is key in MRI, and, um, how, you know, we should-- what should we do as a community of experts and, and generally speaking in the world to modernize, um, the, uh, um, the standard across the countries, areas, and also between different centers of the same areas?
3:33
Yes.
3:33
Thank you, Francesco.
3:34
So yeah, as you pointed out, image quality, I think, is the most important thing in prostate MRI.
3:39
Comes also before assessing the scan itself and giving a PI-RADS score, 'cause if the quality is not good, then the whole study is flawed, right? And so we will, uh, have the risk of over-calling or under-calling things because of the quality is not adequate.
3:53
And this is the reason why actually we keep on stressing these things in all these meetings and the consensus statements, because quality is key.
4:01
Um, what we did, for example, for the Prime study that was published last year, as you all know, basically is the study comparing biparametric and multiparametric, uh, pro- prostate MRI, basically was to evaluate the quality beforehand.
8:44
How would you explain this? Why, why we don't yet are there? Also, this involved a micro ultrasound and after the publication of the, uh, optimal trial last year.
