MORE BRAILLE: MORE EMPOWERMENT – Launching the Global Braille Survey (Episode 79)
F
39:27So what we hope to learn, as Nick explained, each of these braille literacy surveys targets a s- select part of the overall braille ecosystem as we're thinking of it.
F
39:40But individually, the surveys are going to ask about your personal experiences with braille.
F
39:46But when combined, this complete set of surveys allow us to get a global picture of braille literacy, of access, uh, of innovation and opportunity.
F
39:59So one of the strengths of this project is that we're collecting perspectives not only from people who, who read braille, and we hope to get many, many surveys from braille readers, but also collect information from parents of braille readers, whether they're children or whether they're already adults, uh, braille teachers, whether they are teaching children or adults, uh, and transcribers, whether they work for an agency or a school or have their own business, um, 'cause each of these groups experiences different parts of that braille ecosystem.
